SlimDrivers is a software application that was designed in order to locate and get the latest drivers for your installed hardware.

This little program is freeware and works great. It searches your computer for outdated, missing and corrupt Driver files and fixes them.

I started out with 26 drivers that were bad now it's 23, because here in the mountains where I live all I have is dial up connection and it takes a long time to do any work on the net.

You must cringe when you see that 65 Meg driver that needs to be downloaded.

I wouldnt use this on a custom computer, ive never had luck with these updater driver programs, like the idea but they are never up to date. Just spent the last hour fixing everything it messed up. uninstalling reinstalling rebooting just to get where I was before I installed this. i was up to date, but it found 3 things. 2 nvidias and 1 creative. Again, nvidia and creative labs specifally game port and storage and ethernet and sata. Not your main display or audio. Anywho, installed older versions.

This would be good for your hp bought or dell or whateva store bought towers and the user who doesnt know anybetter. But for your power user, its just another miss.......

Well, after I went back to normal. Now it says I am fine. 0 updates.. weird..........

You know, windows update always works with drivers, and pretty accurate too. im old school though, rather go to the source for updates, that way, you dont get spammed with extra stuff, and you know its up to date. But I have to keep in mind im a power user, as only prolly 1% of users are power users. For your normal joe, this prolly would be a nice program, but dont see it doing anymore then windows updates, even though its certified by windows..It does have a nice UI though....

My computer is a custom rig, we built 2 just for use in the archery shop. I just finished up and didn't have any problem with any of the drivers that were updated.
