Well all of 2006 had a friend really give me a hard time about how well he was doing hauling RV's from the mactory to dealers. I just keep blowing him off and taking it with a grain of salt.
At the time I was parts manager at local Toyota/GM store. i was the ONLY person in parts selling about $100k a month. I asked for more help, never a raise, even though I had taken 2 pay cuts in under 4 years to "keep" my other help that was no longer there.
He invited me and the wife out to eat and we spent about 3 hours of him all but begging me to get out of that dealership and drive. He told us he had "made" over $100k all 3 years. I was in total shock. He called the company he worked for and got my signed up basicly over the phone.
Bought a 3500, loaded it out with proper equipment. Boss offered me $300 a day to stay. I told him it took me spending $35K for him to give me a rasie.... NO!!!!!

RV business didn't pan out...

enjoy the road, but can't seem to pay bills at home while driving.

Sounds like you can make a pretty decent living at a parts counter, those sort of guys are hard to find & think it would be a good place considering the economy & people keeping their cars longer. Plus you get to sleep at home every night.:)
