Driving the speed limit helps, along with the preditor stage 3 tuner, air cleaner upgrade, fuel additive, a must. Try it , I've got a total different rig than yours. This is not a bulls..t add.
Read DOT REGS, It can be done, as long as nothing changes but the ownwers info.
Please don't respond if not interested in add, unless you have questions> Won't respond otherwise. Thank you

Watch out Cos, he clearly said:

Wait!! That was a question, wasn't it!! :D :D :D
Caught my eye too. Had the exact same truck. FOS with the MPG's!!! Yes, I got 26 MPG "unloaded-no trailer" once, but that was it, ONCE! It was on a downhill run from Oklahoma into Texas with a 40 MPH wind pushing me the whole way.
"17 MPG" with a loaded 3 car hauler??? Yeah, and California is a very very Conservative state. :p

For 26k it better get 17 loaded.
And he didn't bother telling us its got 160K miles on it. Not bad mileage for this truck though.

Still, he needs to come to reality on the price. You can find these trucks with this mileage all over Texas for $15-$16-$17K. If I was in the market for a truck, I'd definately look at this one. But, my highest offer would be maybe $15 grand, that's it.

Mayber I should have told the guy that just bought my 07 it got 17mpg loaded. I could've got a couple more grand maybe? I just sold my 07 Dodge with 165k on it 4x4 with hitches, aux tank, bags, southbend clutch, new tires for $18k.

Bet you didn't pay $2000 for $1100 worth of B&W hitches either.

.......and another thing I just realized!
From the looks at that "Take 3 40" trailer in his pics, I noticed it has the "kingpin" option on it and not the 2 5/16 GN hitch.
Zoom in on his picture in the ad and then look at the Take 3 page here:
http://www.take3trailers.com/trailers/36-40/
You do not see the GN arm sticking straight down, but can sort of see the kingpin arm at the front of the trailer that is not in the pic.
If this is the case, of which I believe it is, I cannot believe he was pulling a 3 car wedge with a 16-18K B&W "Companion" hitch!! I wonder how he got thru any DOT scalehouse with that set-up. If he did even stop at the scalehouses, know what I mean.
OK we said enough........:D :p :D

I can see all you people on this site just want to pick adds apart and call bullsh.t on everything. I will tell you that my add is not bs and i did stop at all scales and poe and passsed with flying colors and got my stickers. I was told that of all the haulers at some scales that almost everyone they stopped were not in complyant with DOT and i never had a problem. My trailer is legal and i only put the 5th wheel attachment on the truck for viewing, never used it. I can tell you i'ved looked at some of those 15k trucks and they are junk compared to this one. i'M DONE POSTING HERE, I've been doing car transporting for 15 years plus, believe me, I started legal and was always legal and looked good doing it, no junk, like what i saw on the road. Have fun,

Attention:
If you are going to post something for sale here on this site, think twice, these people that visit this site are just going to do it to you like they did it to me. Would you buy my truck after reading all of their crap about my truck. How would you even get someone to call you. They don't have a clue what they are talking about, and they could care less if you have to sell it. I am willing to deal on my rig but I bet I don't get one call because of this BS. I wouldn't do something like this to someone trying to sell something anytime. Thanks you guys
I was going to just let this go, but now I feel that a response is needed.
I received an email from agene after I banned him for an attack on MY site. I don't need to explain my actions, but in this case I will. Call it Christmas Spirit.
First off, I don't have a problem with someone coming to the site and advertising an inflated price. You never know their situation and its possible that they are trying to get out of a bad situation where they owe too much on a loan. But I have issues with posting un-attainable mileage. In the case of this one, the mileage described in the first post is not attainable under load. It might be shown on his overhead as he's coasting down a mountain.
The members of the site responded to the post, which meant I did not have to. The original poster then replied in a more defensive manner instead of trying to correct the advertisement. The poster does not realize the focus of this site and the idea is to give the truth and direction to new operators.
The members of the site only responded to the original poster, so I feel that opportunity was given to allow him corrections or proof to his claim. Instead it became entertainment for me. The thread itself became a reference for new guys that called me and asked about a 1-ton reg setup... I pointed it out and told him to beware of claims like this one.
Obviously this person did not realize the main focus of this site. Since we do not cater to 'recreational' or illegal haulers, there is no reason to consider a 40ft 2-car trailer to our members. In that case, his final post was just enough to help show him the door. It did not matter to me that he was opinionated towards members that made remarks toward his posts. Those opinions are almost always un-censored here. If it had gotten out of hand, I would have simply explained to those members why their posts were going to be deleted.
Instead this poster decided to attack the site and myself who hasn't even responded to it in the first place. Anger over a wrongly placed sale ad is one thing, but attacking the site which it was posted for free is another thing all together.
agene's vacation has been approved.
If someone is going to post an item mostly unrelated to the focus of the site, and make unrealistic claims to its performance... keep it on craigslist. Try posting on a horse forum that your horse has five legs and runs faster... you'll change your mind about our responses. If you want honest opinions about it, post here and don't become offended when the accuracy is questioned. Remember, the premise of this site is to promote Profittable Legal & Safe Commercial Vehicle Transport. In this case, I cannot stress how unprofitable this one would have been had someone bought into it.
PS - This could also be read as... don't piss off the site owner by attacking his site over nothing that was the site's fault. Had I banned you for being dumb, it would have been another thing. But as my history shows, I put up with a lot of non-sense before even issuing a warning. But if someone interfere's with the operation or direction of the site, or goes against the direction of what is planned... vacations will start being approved.

If you notice from his craigslist pictures, the trailer has the GN hitch. Since the companion could just be listed/shown as an accessory, I would assume it was only placed in the B&W for the picture. However, his original post 'mis-brands' his own hitch. As far as the pricing goes, theres no telling who he's buying his equipment from... the whole shebang other than the trailer is way too high. I could believe the trailer costing/selling for that amount. But the truck and associated equipment is too high if it were being used commercially.
Figured I'd post this and move it to the Loony Bin... Here's the email I received.
Realize, this was immediately after I banned him for attacking the site. Previous to any of my responses other than temporarily deleting his last post, which I restored for archive purposes.

He has "editted" the pictures in his CL ad since I posted what I posted and the new picture clearly shows the GN. (old picture didn't) So he got me on that one.
Hate to see anybody "put on vacation", and if one can't take a hackin' every once in a while, then they need not to even respond to us hacks. We all do it at times. Fess up..............
Honestly, he IS out in lala land with his ad here and on CL. Pricing and mileage claims was his biggest downfall here. Did he honestly even consider WHO he was going to try and sell his truck here to????
Gene, if you're still reading us while on vacation, I just did an Autotrader search looking at trucks similar to yours in your area. (2004-2006)
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/searchresults.jsp?lastStartYear=1981&num_records=25&search_lang=en&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&search_type=both&distance=50&address=92340&marketZipError=false&style_flag=1&make=DODGE&model=RAM3502WD&make2=&start_year=2004&end_year=2006&min_price=&max_price=&seller_type=b&transmission=&engine=&drive=&doors=&fuel=&max_mileage=&color=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&keywords_display=&sort_type=priceDESC&body_code=0&certified=&advanced=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&showZipError=y&default_sort=priceDESC&awsp=false&systime=&sownerid=72102&rdm=1261893352833
Please notice that you are way way out in looney land with your price in your own local market, OK. We may have been a little rough in our hacking, but we know what we're talking about.
