I had someone tell me that you could buy a membership like aaa for comercial vehicles. I have looked some and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it.

AAA is a joke we have it one night we had a flat it was cold and raining so we called them 2 hours later the guy called and said he was lost 4 hours later he was there he had no tools just a jack he said he had a deal with them for towing and was only going to make $20 off the call

I had AAA and when I was dead heading back I fueled and some how lost prime at a flying j, first guy they send had an old pos tow truck and just wasted to drag it to a dealer. I said no your not towing it that way. AAA sent a second truck (rollback) and that guy was very nice and helpful, he actually got the truck running and I was on my way. Tossed him a nice tip since he was helpful. Think its just like anything else it luck of the draw on who gets the call.

AAA is like the sanford automall of towing. AAA calls dont pay the truck squat. If memory serves me correct, I would get $35 for a tow. Hardly worth the time. And i had to have my truck lettered with all their crap, and be on call, and fight 100 other guys at a job. Screw it, id rather be one of their customers, than employee.
Why would you want to pay for a AAA type service when there are other options? If something breaks while on the road, it is not going to be a good thing financially no matter what. I understand that maybe having some pre-negotiated pricing would be good, but the screwballs would find a loophole to get you one way or another.
Either the truckdown.com or NTTS sites should be able to get you where you need to go if the absolute worst happens.

AAA is fine for your car. My membership cost me $35/year and got me 4 free tows - that didnt have to be used on my car. Good on any car I drive. Well worth it to me anyways. As far as big truck plans... i have no idea, never looked into them.
