Was watching it earlier. Prices seem to be high on some stuff. Boy I had a few novas and camaros as nice as the ones on there. I sold mine for under 10k, but thats been 15-20 years ago. Seen a street Camaro convert rally sport just go for almost 50k. Boy how sad. I won several Super Chevy shows for the best paint award. Yes I done the bodywork and paint work myself. I used to paint funny cars, top fuel cars and hydro racing boats in Seattle. Got divorced and left town. How stupid. I done a bunch of Chip Foose designed paint jobs. Chip was just out of school then. Man time flies. I had my name all over NHRA Natl dragster magazine for my awesome paint work up there in Seattle.

After leaving i painted in an insurance shop in Denver for about 5 years and made around 100k a year. Got sick of insurance work so I threw in the towel and went back to trucking about 10 years ago..

Seeing these high prices on cars really makes me think I screwed up, lol I could lay down paint like an animal. Yep that was my nickname, animal. I was a color matching pro. Thats how you make the cash in repair work. Im still diamond certified PPG.

Im thinkin its time to build another car. Might finally make some money on one.

Man I had a 71 blazer that won every show I put it in. It was triple red. Now I did sell that one for 17k back in 1999. Bet that dude would be worth 30k+ now.

71 Cheyenne Blazer, 402 big block with factory ac and windows. Loaded all numbers matching. It was one super rare beast! It would just stop traffic. I remember investing 1200 just for the grille and grille parts in that rig from one of the aftermarket places. I thought I had been raped, lol

So...bidder backing out of purchase and Craig Jackson is stepping up and paying the $700K.

Translation and truth..............

A Barrett Jackson "Schill" bidder who was put in place to try and drive that price up to the multi-million mark ended up with his schill bid of $700K as the winning bid for the car. Another buyer at the auction recognized him and call him out on it. Both were called to office, schill bidder fired and is now being buried somewhere far out in the desert, guy who caught Craigs schill walked out of the office with a briefcase full of $100 bills, and Craig is now covering his butt saying "Integrity-Integrity-Integrity" to the tune of $700K so that he can save his ass at his future auctions.
