4500 for sale

Back a few months ago on the LTL site there was a guy that posted a truck for sale. He said he was in dire straits and offered it for sale for 20k it had two diamond plate tool boxes mounted sideways on it, and some diamond plate fenders that looked way to big. anyhow, thursday night im making a pick up at one of my customers lots, and guess whats sitting there? They bought it, and have it for sale for 35k. Wish i wouldve jumped on it back then, but money was tight. Oh well...

am I missing something here??? Is this supposed to be a joke??? They sell brand new 4500's for under 25k!!!! I know exactly which truck your talking about, but im just a confused little boy now????

If its the truck I think it is, you couldn't get it for under $30k. The only thing that might be available for under $25l is a SWB std cab. If I'm not mistaken this isn't one of the run of the mill 'dealer trying to unload' trucks.

Honestly, i still dont find this a good deal for 35k but maybe im missing something here still

Yep, you missed it. The $20k part is the good deal... not what the dealer was asking for it.

Just a few weeks back there was an 08 quad cab 4500 on ebay for 28 something. It was an auto, slt new.

Yup, coop, that is the truck. It is for sale for 35k right now. he was asking 20k for it a few months ago.
