what the hell is a blog?

i know that i'm out in the boonies here,but i would really like to know what is a
'blog' i don't understand how it works. thanks for the info mark

A blog (a blend of the term web log)[1] is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Most blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other via widgets on the blogs and it is this interactivity that distinguishes them from other static websites.


for my purposes, if figured I would share some of my related day-to-day and forum related status updates. I typically don't fall into the 'blogger' category as a person. But in the case here, there are enough people that are interested in the daily dealings of the site, as well as curious of my current status. If figure, if its somehow related... I can take a few minutes to update my status.

However... knowing that I'm not the 'blogger' type, I don't know for sure that I will stick with updating it.

You can do whatever you want with your blog, post project updates for modifications to your truck, update us on your status on the road(loads and where they are going), etc etc etc. The possibilities are almost limitless. To create your own, all you have to do is go to the blog area and click to 'create' an entry.

If more people 'blogged' their dealings (ie, Chris and his wtf loads ;) )... it might keep some of the sections/threads cleaner. It would surely reduce the amount of older posts a newer person would have to read to catch up the recent dealings.

Anywho... thats all for my little rambling about them ;)
