I have no real interest in talking about anything previous to right now, so why bother.
Anywho... As you've noticed, I've put some time into the forums. The site 'as a whole' got a face-lift of sorts. I still have quite a bit of the custom coding to get done, but for now the core of the forums is complete. Previous features will return as I get code converted to another format(compatibility reasons). I have quite a few additions cookin' on the skillet, if you know what I mean. There are features that I've dreamed up that I think might be a good time to implement. Soon, just going to take a little bit of time and patience.
If you weren't aware, I don't have a decent internet connection right now. So I have been limited to a cellular air-card. Unfortunately I spend my days in 3G coverage, so I have limits. Plus, the service isn't that great and has tendencies to disconnect me. Therefore... no Instant Messengers, etc for me anymore. At least until I figure out another alternative.
As I said, there are quite a few 'in-planning' and 'in-progress' features for the site. I am somewhat excited about their release, but for now will have to keep things quiet until they are ready for release. As all features additions go, their usefulness and success depend on them being used. So my fingers are crossed.
On the 'personal side of life'.. absolutely nothing is happening. this could be construed as a good thing in most peoples minds. But in my mind, it's torture! There has been no movement on my legal matters from the accident. I have mostly healed, but have quite a few issues that keep me 'in the dumps' physically and emotionally. I am capable of doing quite a bit actually and most days seem better than others. But lately I have felt great other than mild headaches. I have been out in my shop every day for the past few weeks tinkering with one thing or another. I do have plans to get another related business underway as soon as possible, but there is no telling how that will progress. Financially, that accident took its toll which restricts any thoughts I've had or plans I would like to fulfill.
So anyway... my current days are filled with tinkering, mowing the lawn(twice a week out of boredom), tweaking and repairing the farm equipment and ancient junker trucks. lol, if I had materials I'd be fabricating something new daily, but lack of steel kinda put a damper on that idea.
So here I am checking the forums more than any person should. Cooking up ideas for features. Daydreaming about the day when I can create something tangible. Planning a monster comeback 'from the ashes'. It may not be driving, but a guarantee you ... it will work and I will be in the industry, one way or the other.
