Who do you guys use for road side assistance for break downs

I usually call Haulin and my wife. While they google "truck road service" and whatever town I am in or near, I continue to work on the problem and try to sort out what is going on so I know what kind of service I have a need for...

Usually ends up being whoever is closeset. I try to avoid the "official" guys from T/A or Pilot in favor of an independent... sometimes you win, sometimes you get a moron. My experience with the truckstop chains though is that you USUALLY get the moron... Thus I TRY to pick an independant!

Just pick up the yellow pages and call around, gotcha, I asked because I stopped at a ta truck stop and they had an advertisement on the wall for something like a AAA for truckers, was curious to see if Any of you use something like this

AAA for trucks is prolly a money making scam. I casually threw out the "cheapest" comment. We all know none of them are cheap by no means. I am thrifty with my dollars but you have to weigh all the variables. "Waiting" for a reasonably priced road service could negate the savings. I agree with h2o on the independents. Whether or not they are a moron or genuis, you can occasionally negotiate with them. A good PM schedule and some fore thought can alleviate alot of problems on the road. You should always be prepared at all times in situation like this, you should at least have a number of a road side assistance just in case you encounter such situation. Considering those whom you can trust and those that are reliable.
