Any nice sites to see that are not to far from the main road accessible by tractor & trailer? Going from MI up to MN then west to Washington. I would like to get some nice photos. Any problem area's to watch out for? Cool truck stops to check out? Going to take my mountain bike (I not hardcore but will ride a few miles to see some cool stuff).

Leaving Tues afternoon or Wed morning, have to run to NY early Mon. then back to Mi to load for out west. Gonna end up in Federal Way, Wa at the port. I'm gonna try to make it there Friday morning for the freighter but I don't know if that will happen or not we'll see how the trip goes.

Just thought I'd update on my trip as the busy part of the week is over. Took I90 out from WI to Wa, what an awesome sight (minus MN & half of SD). My dad came with me because he's never been out west either & he's retired so there's plenty of time on his books. Had to hustle to make the ship on Fri. but got her done. Reloaded today in Portland, OR & taken 84 to 80 home for a different route. Gonna enjoy the ride home as I have 4 1\2 days to do it in. Plan on stopping a lot more on the way home. Called it an early day today & stopped at a motel in Lagrange, Or for a restart. I'm glad I decided to take this trip as it has been well worth it minus the POE crap. I wouldn't want to do this on a regular basis but once a year in the summer would be great.

Running the PNW is an awesome trip on occassion. I've not made the trip in about a year or so but I always enjoy the trip out that way. I'm with you, a trip like that every now and again is definitely worth it. It's trips like that make you remember why you are trucking. Glad to see you got a trip like that.
Stay safe out there.
