Anybody else here have a Facebook account other than Coop and I???
I've never really been interested in Facebooking since it came out, but my brother encouraged me to go ahead and set up a Facebook profile to promote this new auto sales venture I started. Well, before you can have a "business profile" on FB, you have to have a personal profile.
So, I started one up last week, and it's been pretty cool ever since. After I built my personal profile, I contacted 4-5 long time friends who already had profiles on FB. Since last week, I've had 2-3 other friends I haven't spoken to in years contact me. (2 of them were x-girlfriends. 1 from over 20 years ago!) And, I'm finding old friends on their "Friends" lists too after looking through their lists.
It's pretty interesting, to say the least.
If anybody else here has a FB account and wants to add others here as a "Friend", PM them and let them know. I say do this in PMs because of the security risks involved with these "OPEN" discussion boards. What you say and share about your personal life here in the open is available to anyone that surfs the Internet. On Facebook there's security parameters in place that does not allow you to be "Found" by just anyone surfing the web. And, if you are found on the web through a Facebook link, there's even more security measures you can put in play keeping your whole account private. Hell, you can keep yourself "Private" on Facebook too if you want.
Like I said, I think FB is pretty cool. Always thought it was a "younger generations" place to play, but it's not. All my contacts are as OLD as I am. Except Coop of course. :D
REMEMBER!! Keep what you know and learn about any new "Friends" you make on FB there on FB, even if you made the friendship here first, OK. What goes on on FB stays on FB. ;)
(I still need to get my "Business Profile" going on FB, but I've been so addicted to the personal aspect of it that I can't seem to find the time to do it!! HaHa)
