Ive got a few trailers to haul in the near future (back to illinois from various states) and right now im planning on dead heading out to get them. Is there any way, or any one out there that could direct me to a company that would let me haul their travel trailers out, so i can avoid the dead head. Im not interested in dedicating a truck to it full time, just a couple of hauls per year. Maybe run them on my own authority and insurance?

If you have all the requirements you can call Forest River direct and haul right out of the factory. Ive met quite a few guys who do this on there own. Dutchman Mfg also hires single trucks with there own ins. and authority. I dont believe they have any sort of minimum you have to haul to stay hooked to em.

Dutchman is in Goshen, and Forest Rivers office is in Elkhart.

Good Luck Cosgo!

Hey you might pm pball here. He has his own trailer hauling company. He could broker/trip lease you a couple when you need them too I bet. I have his number in my phone. I dont think he'd mind me passing it on. Try pm'ing him just in case, then if that dont work I give you his number.
