When you are on your 34 hour restart for the weekend can you drive, lets say, from your home to a vacation home that is 300 miles away using a non-commercial vehicle? And do you need to bring your log book, or just say, "I don't drive commercial during the week" and not require any documentation since you are on your private vehicle?

You are on your own time.. you can do whatever you like, drive your car, boat, plane, (sometimes i can get to all 3 in one weekend!!)

Like Cosgo said, off duty is your own time. Do what ever you want.

That is what I thought but wasn't sure.

Too small. Im into 4-6 seaters. If I cant fly myself from Chicago to Vegas in it, it aint big enough!! Ill try to get pics of a project plane on here that a cousin of mine is building. Should be interesting

Geeze......you guys are talking about real full-size planes. Closest I've come to owning & flying (and crashing  ) my own plane is by remote control!!! Would love to get a real pilot license one day ... but I've heard they are REALLY expensive to get. So until I win the lottery I'll have to stick to my RC planes.... :D

It costs less to get your pilots license than to insure one of our rigs for a year. Very manageable over a period of time.
