I got a rv hauler friend wanting to stretch his ford and put a sleeper on it.
I have forgotten who does this work around Elkhart. If any of you know he'd sure appreciate the info.
Thanks All!

M & M Fabricators in Elkhart. (http://www.mandmfabricators.com/index.html)
They do the driveshaft and everything in house. Stretches is their specialty. They generally ask for about a week lead time to have everything ready to go for your particular truck.
When I spoke to them about stretching my Dodge for a 60" sleeper they told me they would start about 6 am and have me out the door the same day. If not they would put me in a room for the night.

I know several people that have had pickups stretched at Sellers in Milford, IN (just south of Goshen).

About how much does that cost for a semi? Just stretching the frame. No need for a sleeper.

Anywhere from around $2000 and up. Alot depends on how much you want to stretch. A good friend of mine just had his truck stretched about 100" plus added 4' more behind the axle...... $3500
Just to retube a semi truck driveshaft costs $400. If you need another shaft made, it can easily be $1500 or more for each section. A used section of shaft will cost $600 then you may still need to retube to get it to the right length.
