Well I thought it was the right truck when I bought for doing rv's but the short bed has been a pain in the butt. As you can see by the dent turning to tight is an issue.

Own a Dodge you need to carry a spare.

Nice trucks, thanks for sharing.
You can upload those pictures into the Gallery or just attach the files to your post. We'll keep an archive for ya and they are linkable to other sites from here. Just another one of those things I try to do to be helpful :D

I wish I would have hung onto the first gen just to have it. It had been a southern truck it entire life and was 100% rust free. It was just not suited to be put into commercial service.

How did you have to modify your Kaufman wedge?

Thanks.

I would change how I did it, I would not use the beam across like I did. I should have just came off the frame and supported the runner from the underneath. That way I could still use the front 3 feet if I had a small car. The other problem is the beam I used is too tall, lower cars can not get the nose over it, I fixed that with some risers on the rail. BTW I'd consider selling the trailer, it'd be a good starter trailer.

hmmm, where do I remember hearing that before? :)
We need to talk, I think we have some extra steel to handle that. I was thinking rect tube under the decking to replace the I-beam and close off the open fronts with angle.

That steel place in Joliet (Atlas) had a piece same size as the frame on the trailer just long enough too. Winter just got here to fast and now there is no way I'm working on it now. It also needs some new decking, the expanded steel is just starting to come apart. And then there is paint and a couple other things. If I could just come up with another truck I think I'd just sell it and find something different, but hey I'm pretty much married to the Mega for a while longer.
