Didn't you ask for this before?

I still say No, not worth it.

There's really only one member here that is interested in talking about UShip (not naming names;)) and even those discussions are limited. (Yes, I admit, I started a UShip discussion this week- Sorry!!)

Overall consensus here is that nobody really gives a sheee-ittt about UShip. So why bother with dedicating a whole forum towards that POS website, know what I mean.

I say just start 1 thread that discusses UShip and throw all the BS postings in that one thread and stop starting a new thread for each and every thought one may have about UShip. Again, know what I mean.

Everybody can keep on saying that uship sucks, but they are the largest website bidding load board out there. They will monopolize the bidding market just like central did with autos. To this day, more and more brokers are using uship. Follow the stats if you please, I do, and they are growing and will continue to grow. I think its time that we accept the fact the uship will be in our lives, or will be in our lives later. ITS GONNA HAPPEN if your seriously in this business. Uship has saved me numerous amount of times on great loads. Doesnt happen much, but it does. With there rate of growth, and soon to be more legalized with carriers, they will be a nice board to play on. Plus, its always great for a good laugh, which is the main reason I use it for.

Being behind a computer all day long, you do have some quite bordem going on. And with multiple screens up and running, i need more space to fill and uship does a great job on doing it and keeping me busy during slow times, either for a peice of freight, or a good laugh.

But yes, I have brought this up before, and I might do it again in another year if it gets denied now. But thanks for bringing that to attention for hurting my chances for 1 of my dreams to come true!!!! :)

P.S. Yes I was hoping they forgot!!! hehe

I signed up on Uship a long time ago, looked at it a couple of times and havent been there in years. Doesnt affect my business, and after all i hear people saying about it, i could care less about it. Let all the A-holes out there haul their illegal loads, soon enought they'll wreck, or get caught, and i'll be there to pick up the pieces!!!

If Ushit gets too big we are all doomed. There never going to make it an legal load board. Remember they are a nuetral venue. Its just too much a pain in the butt to set there bidding on loads. Its a losing cause. Either people are too cheap or they aren't serious about it. Its really not ideal for a carrier(especially the rates!). It was a great idea on the guy that came up with it. He's getting rich!!! I know how you love ushit though Chris!:p

Since ushit is being brought up again, I would like to know if they are legally moving the charity shipments legally. Do they have DOT or MC numbers? I know they are moving the shipments for free but seems like you would need to be a legal carrier to even move shipments for charity. Seems like this could be the opertunity to get them in trouble.

Yes it would make my day to see them get some nice fines.:D

Well, got suspended again (15th time). not strikes but actual suspensions because your allowed 3 strikes per suspension. Anywho, people were complaining on the forum as usual and here was my reply that got me suspended. Doesnt even break uship rules, maybe a little harsh, but its factual.

"U guys are funny. Uship has the least amount of shipments on a fully operated load board while yes there is alot of loads are bunk. Wether uship does something about it or not, who cares. Go on another board if you feel this board isnt good enough for you. Prices are higher, loads 99% of time are legit, and hey guess what, NO BIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And guess what ccoop769, you got another grand slam to the bleachers for 30 days!!!

Got my memberhip back and didnt even have to right a pathetic email to them. Anywho, started already on a few good laughs. Just shows you that people want the best price. They act like they want it done legally, but........ Well, see for yourself.

QUESTION
Thank you for your bid. I have following questions: 1. Do you have a DOT number? 2. Does your bid include all fees and permits? This is large boat and may require permits through many states. 3. Can you accept 90-100% payment upon delivery? I have recently been scammed by a bidder on Uship 4. When can you commit to pick-up the boat?

RESPONSE
No I do not have a D.O.T. number. Yes my bid does include all of the fees and permit
s needed. I am very sorry that you have had a bad experience trying to get you boat moved but if you check my profile you will see that I have great responses from my shippers. I have been a boat owner myself so I understand some of what you are going through. As far as the payment I would need 25% of the balance upfront and the balance at the time of delivery. I can adjust my pickup dates somewhat to fit your needs. Please let me kow asap if this works for you? We are really looking forward to helping with your shipment! Thanks Greg

QUESTION REGARDING HIS RESPONSE
8/6/2010 char1968 (0) Thanks for your reply. How quickly can you pick up the boat and begin transport?

The Transporter has like 5 feedback. WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE.

My question if if he doesn't have a DOT number he probably doesn't have the correct insurance --- then WTF bother with oversize permits? Just fly through at night and you are good to go, right?:rolleyes::)

How do these guys sneak by the law, seriously? What - they say they're moving it for a friend and get away with it? WTF?

Assuming he wouldnt get permits as I beleive noncommercial driver are allowed to move personal boats up to 10 feet width????

When my driver was on his own, he was working uship, EVERYTIME he got busted, he always used the excuse there his or friends. Alot of times he had titles and thats all you need to show. He only had DOT running interstate with a wedge. NO IRP, NOTHING but DOT. He is a night runner too.

Anywho, he did get busted a few good times, but then you change your company name and you have a fresh start. Doesnt cost anything to start a new company name and get a DOT. Ooops, hush hush, giving away uship transporter secrects on how to beat DOT and there fines!!!!!

Crap, being legal is the same why, I had to change company names just to continue to do business legally. Aint that a shame..........
