Considering your post in the 'Beginner Questions' section, I'd pull back on the reins a bit.

I've got a truck.
It's got a hitch.
How hard could it be ?
I don't see the problem here.

Wheeler Dealer,

Either your pulling our leg or you really dont have a clue. Didnt you state youve been hauling commercially on and off since 84? C'mon, you must have some clue - or your just playing around. Im on the edge of my seat right now trying to decide whether this is a good laugh, or if I should be getting angry. Help us out - what is it?

Or Classic. Over my time there I helped a few new guys hook up since they didn't know how. And that was after they had been through class:eek:.

Yep....

During the short period I was with RAD I met a driver who came to RAD from Classic. We were out in the parking lot talking behind his truck and noticed he had a single shank 2 1/4" ball hitch that was in his receiver. The hitch itself was bent at a downward angle. Asked him if he had been pulling trailers with that hitch, he said "yep, that's all Classic required". Then asked him if that 22 year old "Safety Director" punk at RAD (Ben) caught it when he came out to "inspect" his truck. Driver said if he did see it, he didn't say anything. I then asked that driver if he was going to get the HD hitch/sway bar set-up at Dually Depot before he hit the road with RAD. He said "Nah, why waste $300 when this little hitch has worked just fine?"

I just walked away from that discussion thinking........................

He must of borrowed a set to get leased on, that was one thing they really did check. Heck I was pulling little Jayco's and had an adjustable height draw bar that was rated at 10k and 1k tongue weight and I got called in for that, there policy was it had to be a solid shank bar with weight dist head and you were supposed to put the bars on all units. Only the little single axle units that used a 2" ball were exempt.
