View Full Version : Pick a trailer, kaufman or infinity.

Well I can get a new trailer and my choices are either a kaufman ez loader 4 or a infinity gnw400. I haul alot of new quad cab dodges and copart junk right now so Im thinking the infinity would be a better choice. Both are 102" wide and have three 7k's with 17.5 tires on them. The kaufman is about 4 grand cheaper and has a winch, also has a ball reciever and is shorter. The infinity can handle three full size trucks, no winch, and I dont know that you can get it with a ball reciever (I dont have a fifth wheel yet). Just looking for opinons for any one who has used them (coop where you at?) Thank you for your time.

I wouldn't haul either with a ball, especially the ez. Comment later...

Infinity will net you better fuel economy by keeping the load lower. But a 5th wheel is a MUST with either one.

I do plan on getting a fifth wheel as soon as funds allow.

Fifth wheel needs to be first with either of these trailers.

What benefit does the fifth wheel give over the ball?

Less twist and side to side movement. When I talked to the guys at Infinity they said single pivot fifth wheel is all they recommend.

don't pull eiher on a ball. with a fifth wheel you stabilize the side to side movement or twist of the load. both of those trailers will twist and cause sudden movement with the truck, to the point of being dangerious on a ball.

I cant help but think every time I saw my current trailer rocking in my mirror was that with a fifth wheel it would be rocking the hell out of my truck also. I am going to get one, the dealer for the used infinity will include a new 32k bw hitch with the trailer for the same price. The infinity also ended up having a winch on it also, dont know if id ever use it or not.
