Thought we had lost this interesting diary of a "Haul & Tow" being built from the ground up after the "RV Board" shut down.
Well, apparently pmmjarrett was sharing this build with others online. (How could he???:D)

I liked watching his build. Wonder if he's still out there running RV's in the truck or not.

I seen Jarrett on the 20 bypass today. He was rolling in empty. I was rolling out with a trailer.
His truck looks the same. He's still with Horizon.
To bad we lost him. He's a neat guy.

You dropped down to the 20 bypass when the toll road heading west was 1/2 mile from the shop???
What's the best route you've found to avoid southern Chicago when heading the direction you're heading? I've tried a couple different routes just by looking at the map (one of 'em was hell!!! Stoplight after stoplight and I was wishing I had my Glock with me the whole time!!) After that, I just suffered through 80 the whole way the other times I went that way.

We are way closer to 20 than the toll road. 20 is maybe 1 mile south of our yard.
I always roll thru Chi town on 294 and up thru rockford. I even come back that way, always.
294 is done and traffic rolled right thru last night(friday) I hit it right at rushour. Sailed right thru. Its really great having 4 lanes on 294. The construction thru rockford is done also.
Anyway it was great seeing Jarrett even if he didnt know who I was. Im glad hes still out here. Prolly been 6 months since I seen his truck.
Sitting in Dickinson ND tonight. Hey no pun about this city.. lol dick in son. Hell uv a name.
Will trek across wind blown Montana tomorrow, Yay!

And taking the bypass routes you by the Marathon in LaPorte, usually the cheapest place to fuel. Thats the way always ran since I either pulled out of Goshen or Middlebury.

Oh crap.............
Just looked it up on the map(IT address). They are way down there by the 20 bypass where all that construction was for years. I was thinking they were up there a couple blocks south of our Super 8 on the west side of Cassassassassapolis(19). :D I know exactly where they're at now.
Nevermind.......................;)

I'll get a thread started on the new truck here, it's much more refined with a few changes to the original design.
Now as far as Cary seeing it in Jan, that was the last time that truck was in Indiana. I took a load out to Liberty Lake WA and then ran out of Oregon for 2 months strait pulling 2 at a time for full rate each. I cleared $23k in profit in 2 months out west and had just bought the new Freigtliner to have built a week before the Ford was wrecked by an idiot in a truckstop parking lot in Idaho on the 29th of March. He did $12k worth of damage to the Ford, hit it hard grabbing gears. The moron walked right past me to get into his truck and didn't see me.
I was on my way to Pendleton to pick up 2 trailers to Texas to visit my folks for easter and then come home for a few weeks. That all changed and I ended up having some emergency repairs done and limped it to the Coburg, OR freightliner dealer where I picked up my Freightliner out of the shop and bobtailed it home 3000 miles.
Insurance settled and I sold the Ford to a buddy who turned around and sold it to somebody in Oregon who is trying to put her back together.
RIP
