Just picked up a brand new Connex 4400 Turbo, and this thing is massive!! Huge heat sinks, big power and ground wires, bigger than any CB ive ever bought. I thought my 4300HP was nice... this thing rocks!

It sounds nice. I have been running without one. What do you guys use them for, traffic, cops, etc. I wonder if I should get one.

I've had them on and off over the last 10 years of driving and I have been without now for 2 years. Don't miss it at all. Its sitting on the shelf in the garage collecting dust.

Yeah, I don't feel like I'm missing ,much but probably wouldn't unless I had one before. I did go through a scale once that said "tune cb to channel XX for instructions". I thought oh shit, but the green light stayed on as I weigh so I rolled through.

Sometime scales at truck stops use them too. Guess there also good to find all the stolen crap being sold cheap at the truckstop too.

Im not on mine all the time or anything, but I ineveitable use it on every trip. Although there is a lot of bullshit on there, they are invaluable for traffic jams, help with directions, or trying to find a tire shop real quick, or finding out the price of fuel along a route (has saved me a ton of money that way) Then there is the late night chats.. keeps me awake!

Do you leave in on or just turn it on when needed? Myself it seemed if I left it on all heard was the typical bs fighting. And as far as turning it on, I bet I did that once or twice a month.
Just seems like our smart phones are taking over as far as our needs. I use gas buddy for fuel prices, works great. And heck google will help find anything, right:biggrin:?
I may put it in my Sterling for the heck of it, its not like I have to go by anything. Just some install time.

I turn it on when needed. Too much crap on there to leave it on all the time.
Phones are nice, but they won't tell u where to snag a parking spot, or who has some good food!
