Mark is correct accept I would call the coroner first. A thief who steals from me is no better than a thug trying to harm my family and I should get a MEDAL for flushing the TURD!!

Hmmm a new 5500 or......
Anyway I'd call the cops. I'm not putting myself in harms way for a truck, what good is it if you end up shot and killed.
Heck I'd be far more pissed if I lost my personal items like my laptop, phone, etc...

I'd let them take it if it were at gun point as I owe way less than its insured for. If I walked up on them it might not be good situation for that individual that was trying to steal from me. I think I'd beat'em (or at least try) then call the police. Every situation like that can be treated differently. Some people react real quick without thinking or observing the situation which could lead to there death over a vehicle. Most good thieves will have your truck stole in less than a minute so you'd have to be really lucky (or unlucky depending on the outcome) to catch someone before they're driving off.

I would let them take it and call the cops, it is not worth the chance of losing your life over a truck or money for that matter.

Voted "Confront and stop them".
Remember, I'm here in Texas. Rick Perry signed a bill (Castle Domain Law) that clearly says we are allowed to shoot first and ask questions later if someone is trying to steal our property. Many "Thieves" have lost their lives over this since and not a single "Property Owner" has even made it past the "Grand Jury" yet. All cases have been justified shootings.
Hell, one guy over in Dallas who had been burglarized and burglarized shot and killed 2 different burglars at his business within 3 weeks time. Word got out on the street and he hasn't had a problem since.
So, any burglars here?? You're welcome to come try stealing my truck.:D

I'm with you Brisco. I spent 6 years in the military defending my right to defend my person and property. "I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6". If your trying to steal my truck from me its just like trying to steal my life. If we all just let thieves steal from us then what will they do next??? And its certain the courts wont punish them!

Same here, also a Veteran and have Law Enforcement Training. Military PO and was a Texas Certified Law Enforcement Officer at one time. Just was never "commissioned" and never actually served as a Police Officer for any jurisdiction in Texas.
I am not afraid of confrontations. Guess I'm warped, "Fear" is something I guess I have never experienced, and that has gotten me in a pickle or 2 here and there. Both eyes have been stitched because of fights - 1 as an MP, 2nd my stupidity. Been stabbed while trying to take a guy down as an MP. Got wrote up on that one. (something about not waiting for backup) Have also had my ass whooped real good by this 6'2/260 black guy because of my ignorance. :D
But, I would have no problem stopping anyone by any means to keep them from stealing my stuff.
Here is the article mentioned above:

And we had a "Fox4" newsreporter lose her job over this too.

Rebecca Aguilar confronted this man in a Home Depot parking lot and badgered him over the shootings. She asked him if he was "Trigger Happy" and would not let him close his car door to leave. She had "Liberal" points of views in the past, it's just this time she let them get in the way of her job.
I would love for everyone here to see the video, but her Attorneys have successfully removed it from every vantage point online.

I saw it and it literally pissed me off. At least read the articles and comments in the link above. You may run into the video somewhere. If you do, I hope it will also persuade others to "Shoot First" too in todays crime ridden society.
